As the Data Exchange Utility supports multiple export formats, you need to select or switch the export format before starting an export.
Before starting an export, go to Tools – Add-Ins – Export/Import, select the Generic Data Exchange Utility and click on Setup.
Format and Filter
In the Export File Format dropdown, you can select the file format that is used for the next export process. The Data Exchange Utility currently supports the TBX, TMX Version 1.4b, and XLIFF Version 1.2 formats. Each export format has its own settings that are explained later in different chapters.
Passolo stores the date of the last change/translation for each translation list entry. The two date values under Translation changed between could be used to restrict the exported data to the specified period.
To enable further user-defined export filters, the Data Exchange Utility imports the Passolo filters for translation lists that contain a BASIC expression. These filters are displayed in the dropdown box Filter by Basic expression from filter. The text window below shows the BASIC expression of the filter.
Additionally, there is the option to switch off the filter completely <No filter> or to use the last filter saved <Last filter>. Please note that newly created filters cannot be imported during the current session. If you want to apply newly created filters when exporting, you have to exit Passolo and start it again.
When you have configured the general settings for the export, click OK.
